Someone asked me for a translation for the backstory of YW:Puni Puni’s latest Z-rank yo-kai. I’m sure they’re not the only ones interested in reading it, so I’ll share it with you all.

輪廻には人間ともだちがいた
妖怪をこわがらないどこか不思議な女の子だった
Rinne once had a human friend. She was a mysterious girl who was unafraid of yo-kai.

彼女は　人間との友好を築けず行き場を失った妖怪たちを助けていた
She saved yo-kai who have lost their homes and who have never made a friend with humans before.

人間と妖怪とが　友好に向けお互いに歩み寄ろうとする中で
大きな争いがおこった彼女はその争いにより命を落とす
She lost her life in a conflict that started while she was trying to make peace and mutual friendship between the humans and yo-kai.

おして輪廻は友好を唱えた張本人であるエンマ大王にたどり着いた…

😭 That’s so sad, I wasn’t aware Rinne went through so much !! The little girl probably ended in the Infinite Inferno and that’s why Rinne never saw her as a yokai !
